Hello everyone!

So yeah. Finally I found a lovely forum which I hope will both help me today and in the future. Let me introduce myself before heading into the questions I have. So i'm just 22 years old that sharing car with the family (Sadly I'm student which most likley means I don't have really much money hehe) and it is time for us to make some new changes.

So to the question. Its mostly my father that has the biggest decision in which car we are going to buy blablabla but since I got my driving license (1 year ago) I got a bit of decision to make aswell. We only drive mostly like in city and baaarley in the highway (Maybe max 1-2 in 2 month) so we are looking for a car that doesn't drink that much petrol (Yes, Petrol I think will be the best decision). Because we had a diesel that was drinking 12,5l/100km JUST INSIDE THE CITY which cost us alot of tank and also the insurance and so on was pretty expensive specially when I joined. Anyways so:

IM TRYING TO CONVINCE MY FATHER TO BUY A QQ and I need some advices from you. We only have to spend around 30.000$ - 20.000 £ - 25.000€. and I have tried a QQ (My friend owns one and I reallyyy feel in love with it) but I need to get my father to like it aswell. He is pretty old school so the new technologic is new for him and I think that could be something

Anyways so I have seen there is different models of QQ. N-Connecta, N-tec and Tekna. As I can see Tekna is the most expensive one and that is full equipped but is it really worth it? What should I think here. Whats your option of what I have said?

so basically my head-question is which QQ should I go for and how can I convince my father to buy a QQ instead of something more stupid car for much more expensive and less equipped

I hope I will get a good answers here!

As mpg is key, allied to driving patterns probably exclude diesels.
If your Dad is not keen on technology he may get overwhelmed with Tekna kit!

Thank you. Btw. As we want to save the economy as much as possible. And we are only riding mostly at city. Should we go for 1,2 petrol? And also. how is the speed? Does it have any turbo? At this moment we own a Kia carnival 185 HP which have a "Kick and go" function which means when you step the gas at full. It automatic gives you a turbo feeling. Does QQ have something similar?

Hopefully some 1.2 owners will chip in.

"T" in engine name indicates TURBO.

I found the performance of the 1.2T surprisingly eager.

However I'm only getting about 33mpg - I was hoping for nearer 40mpg.

I've put a tankful of Tesco Momentum (high octane fuel) in to see what difference it makes - if any. Initially difficult to tell but I haven't been out of town much.

I've now watched the video - not impressed! The Visia is the base spec model not the Acenta - and his dress sense is terrible - that "jacket"!!!

Hehe its okay. I have been looking for many reviews anyways. However yeah. I will mostly be in city and right now with my car i'm around 18 mpg which is pretty highhhh.... However im looking for a N-tec or Tekna mostly so I think that the car you should look for. Thought I can't really find the different between N-tec and Tekna anywhere!
