Thanks for the heads up PJB. It's the AWD that i would buy but it shows there are good deals to be had when you look. The problem with the touch screen on the one being demonstrated is that it kept freezing and constantly warned about having more than one finger touching the screen when there was only one finger touching it. I do really appreciate everyone's feedback, i can see a few headaches in the coming couple of weeks!!

I'd go for the Mazda. I'd be very surprised if it went up hills as woefully as the Qashqai.

...and before anybody asks, I brought mine on the strength of exaggerated reviews which I doubt are as favourable now.

The 4x4's are 1.6 diesels and absolutely storm up up the hills. I found the Mazda CX5 lacking in performance considering it was supposed to have something like 175 bhp.

take a look at the torques not just the bhp. my van is 1.5 tonnes and the QQ pulls it fine
