As much as I love my 2014 Qq tekna... the 1.5 dci engine lacks torque at low revs...
Most of the cars I’ve had seem fine pulling away (rolling stop) in 2nd
But not this Qq...i seem to be constantly changing gears to get it going...

Can I get it chipped or something to help with the pull away
It’s only at low gears /pull away there’s defo a flat spot

It is what it is . It's a family car aimed at economy. Personally I dont have a problem with it.

Can’t be economical if your having to go up and down the gears to get it going..the mpg hits the floor...
I mean I don’t rag it it just get annoyed with it..compared to my vw van the Qq is practically dead

That’s why I’m looking at chipping it to try to remove the lag

Getting it chipped will affect any warranty that remains, fuel consumption and your insurance. Not worth it really.

I had my previous VAG vehicle with a "pre cheat" 1.9 tdi remapped and the difference was remarkable, much better torque throughout the rev range and an increase in power availability with it. Once I'd done it I wished I'd done it sooner! By not changing my driving style I found I got something like a 5-10% improvement in MPG and a much more refined and relaxing driving experience. Just because there's extra power there you don't have to use it, if you do it costs in fuel, tyres and emissions.

As gvmdaddy has already said, you need to be aware of the warranty and insurance implications so speak to your insurers first. The other potential issue is around particulate emissions and how the DPF regeneration copes with any increased throughput.

For my VAG remap I used Superchips' Bluefin DIY system which allows you to load and unload the remap any time you wish, it's a proper remap NOT a "black box" that just modifies the engine metering sensors. As a company Superchips were very helpful but I don't know whether they currently do a remap for the J11. Evolution is another mapper, there's no DIY install option and they seem to have a J11 remap available though I have no experience of them......yet ;)

My car is out of warranty anyway so no issues there

1st and 2nd are the issues with the lag
It just seems dead up to about 2k 2.5k
Can’t seem to use the engine and clutch itself to move the car

Never had issues with my previous qq that’s why I’ve noticed it

Just a few niggling issues with the mk2 (j11) I’ve got

Have you considered it may be a worn clutch etc?
