. think about it, in a manual your right foot is constantly on and off, it comes off the accelerator to press the brake, it comes off again to change gear. in an auto it stays on the accelerator until you need to brake.the doctor who made my mums surgical shoes did suggest getting an auto and driving it with her left foot.
