Rear door won't open

I have a Jan 2018 Qashqai Tekna 1.6 diesel automatic. After about 6 weeks, the rear passenger door would not open from outside, but would open from inside. Unfortunately, the child lock was then applied (by mistake) and now the door won't open at all !

As the problem occurred before the child-lock was applied, I am thinking it could be electric / computer issue, but not sure. Even with the child-lock on, it should be possible to open from outside if un-locked.

Any suggestions short of taking it to the dealer ?

It’s still within warranty, why wouldn’t you go straight into your dealership ?

Hello,
This exact problem.has just happened to me.

Rear passenger door was not openening from outside but was opening from inside. Felt like it wasn't catching.

I have now accidentally engaged the child lock. Now the door is stuck closed.

Can you advise how the fixed this etc?

Locking is by motors which means the fault will likely be electrical or electronic in nature. Electronic control is from the Body Control Module (BCM). Also a possible mechanical issue. Its a garage job really.
