Hi all,

Just got a 2017 1.6 dci tekna as a family car. Looks the business. Made sure it was registered in March 2017 so only £30 tax ;) .

Is there a service and maintenance section on the forum? I need to work out how to replace the pollen filter. I know it’s at the side of the clutch peddle but getting the cover off the housing is borderline impossible.

Many thank
:)

Morning, cheers for the reply. Already been through the search function and nothing useful relating to a right hand drive J11. If you know of anything let me know. I'll keep looking.

Cheers

Ben, have you tried these posts there are videos from the Rogue which might help and there are also posts on information for the Carbon Filters which is most probably advisable to install (air in vehicle problem - Kids !). I had one installed at the Dealer a couple of weeks back took the Guy a max of 5 mins - Dave :D

Welcome

I'd have thought you were having the car serviced in accordance with Nissan recommendations. Nissan now require a replacement pollen filter at every service. £40 extra on a minor service! My garage refused to service mine without doing it.

You're right however there is a bigger picture here in that I bought the car from Motorpoint (car supermarket) who claim they only needed to change the oil. I argued this as I know the pollen filter is also required. They said the service data they get from Autodata only says the oil and oil filter. So I'm going to do the filter myself as their complaints procedure more or less fell on deaf ears. They refused to believe their data was wrong!! Watchdog email possibly?

Incidently one of the reasons I got rid of my Qashqai was my dealer charging more than Nissan fixed price service rates - they wanted £215 for the minor service and only relented when I pointed out their very own website was featuring the £199 rate! It still is

https://www.wessexgarages.com/nissan/se ... vice-care/

I notice the difference for electric cars is even greater - Nissan state £149 - Wessex quote both £149 and £199!
