Have to agree with Geordieman i went with Side bars for my own Personal Choice no Ankle Catching and added a bit of Chrome :P

They just finish the side of the car off nicely. I'll give them a go and see how I feel about them.

Picked the motor up this afternoon...very, very happy with it. Came from a peugeot 308 Feline which was pretty high spec but the amount of equipment on the QQ is mental.

Can't wait to get stuck in with a full detail and make it my standard of clean!

Thanks Dave, I've sourced some from a company based 30 mins from me.
They're exactly the style I want and are available in part chrome or full black, which will perfectly suit the subtle "black edition" style I'm going for.

Yeah I will do dave, haven't bought them yet as I have gone a bit trigger happy with PayPal this last week!

Fitted the wind deflectors and hard wired the dash cam this morning (massive thanks to s_j_p for the fantastic guide).

Itching to give it a proper detail but going to hold off until tomorrow as the weather looks a bit more promising. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow 👍

So after 9 hours solid working on the car it's finally up to my standard.

Some people think I'm mad but nothing more satisfying than fully detailing a car, if you know, you know.

For anyone who's interested this is the process I follow (this full process is only done twice a year)
1. Jet wash
2. Prep wash with G3
3. Rinse
4. Iron remover
5. Rinse
6. Bug and tar remover.
7. Wipe down
8. Clay.
9. Final wash with Simoniz.
10. Thoroughly dry.
11. Polish
12. Sealant
13. Wax
14. All plastic trim
15. Clean all glass

The pictures don't really do it justice as was losing light but the paintwork is almost immaculate now. Very happy!

Greg, the QQ is looking good and the Black is a good example when clean. We previously had 3 Black Metallic Nissan’s Micra / Note / Juke and when clean they looked the part, now we have a Pearlescent White and that also looks the part after a workout.
Not impressed with your personal picture though it’s a bit blurry  keep at it - Dave :D

3 weeks into ownership. Very happy with the QQ. The job/project list is growing and will keep me busy for quite a while!

Fitted mud guards this week, they were off eBay for £16 But are identical to the oem's. On the whole very easy to fit but they were only supplied with self tapping screws so I had to do a bit of tool box rummaging and used some spare nuts and bolts to securely fix them to the existing bodywork fixing points.

Next jobs are pressed metal numberplates, warm white led interior lights and add an extra boot light.
