Quick update.the garage tells me its had an engine change at nissan.i ring nissan who confirm its had a recon engine put in on the 7th of june with all new stronger parts but with no extra warranty.
What to do?

I would be concerned that the car had been fitted with a recon engine rather than a new engine. Why did they fit a recon engine, what did the recon consist of, “all new stronger parts” is far to general to provide you with any real certainty or confidence. If the car had been fitted with a new engine I wouldn’t see an issue but a recon engine just rings bells.
