And a dealer has 15% to play with, before rebates?

Sadly (for me!) I am paying more than that - £24,106. Which I'm still pleased with, which is still a lot more(11.7%) than my local dealer would offer me.
Never mind - maybe someone else can take up your offer SKYLINE - although can you legitimately claim friends + family discount for someone you don't actually know? And are they delivered to the same timescale as "regular" retail ones or are they put to the back of the queue (like Motability ones seem to be, at least according to these forums)?
These are genuine queries I have - no offence intended!

I hope you paid no more than £22,601 for this as i could have saved you £3,978...<img src="images/smileys/smiley4.gif" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" />[/QUOTE]

That makes the list price £26579 - which I understand is for the "free" colour, flame red. Mine is in pearl white so presumably your price goes up by £725 (maybe less 15% again)?

I'd be somewhat nervous at your employers having a concern about your offers in a public forum;they could presumably withdraw perk if they so wished? My source, as quoted on post earlier for 1.5Tekna dci cost under £21k, inc metallic paint.

The reason the give us the perks is so they sell more cars and make more profit - all employees are entitled to this and many from managerial level downwards use the benefit for anyone they see fit. I got discount for the sales manager at my local evans halshaw for one of her friends that i still have never met so she wasnt bothered about it - the discount is no secret have heard tales of lads in pubs at sunderland wanting £1000 to get a code before now - im only trying to help people out and help my company out by getting more sales - i have sold many cars over the last 20+ years with discount for people who just wanted to save money which they have done... The only losers if they did withdraw it would be people like yourselves who want a new qq cheaper and nissan as they would sell less cars - its no skin off my nose - i get a small fee off most people which im happy with and they are more than happy with. And yes toxteth that was for red - pearl white is £600 with the discount and other metallics an extra £440 -in answer to your other questions as demonstrated above you dont have to have met someone to get them the discount as lots of people ask you for their friends which of course then become your friends and the orders are dealt with just the same as anyone elses order - no quicker or slower so should be no difference in delivery times - incidently you didnt get a bad deal and as long as your happy is the main thing...

Heard from the dealer today, as promised by drivethedeal.
He reckons it'll be September but will be able to give me something more definite in about 4 weeks. I'm expecting it to slip to Oct or even Nov so as to avoid unnecessary disappointment!

Can't fault the process so far.....

Spoke to the dealer today. They've stopped taking orders via drivethedeal as the waiting list is getting ridiculous. Fortunately I'm still on it but the latest on the wait is.....it's on back order and the current estimate is 20 November.

I've been given the option to cancel and get my deposit back at any time up to delivery - presumably so they can sell it for a more profitable price to a regular buyer.

I'm disappointed but not overly surprised. It'll be worth the wait. I'd only regret it in a year or so if I decided to jump ship and go for a Sportage or something else similar (but inferior).

So for now, I shall share in the joy of my fellow forum members as they receive their deliveries and look forward to the day that it's me getting giddy with excitement

Had "the call" today from the dealer re the guidance issued to all dealers by Nissan UK referred to in other threads on this forum. As a result of the popularity of the 1.6dCi engine throughout Europe and suppliy issues re that engine, it's not going to be until 2015 that I get my Tekna.
Was given the opportunity to cancel but I'm happy(ish!) to wait. No point getting stressed about it as I'm fortunate that I can keep my current car until the QQ is available and am not subject to any sort of lease deal coming to an end.
In the meantime I'll console myself in the knowledge that it'll be a 2015 64 plate rather than a late 2014 one.
Just hope it won't turn out to be a 15 plate!

2015!!??1 you ordered in May!? I hope its worth the wait. I really like my car but I'm not sure I would have waited that long. Indeed, I know I wouldn't have.

Good luck getting your car. I ordered March 5th delivery date 15th June, then got a call May 12th saying delayed till September 19th. Called the dealer yesterday to check delivery date still September 19th and was told sorry your build date now is December and my order number from March has been cancelled and a new order created! That is a 9 month wait so far. I will post back on here if and when I get any feedback regarding their changing my order number.
