Hello, good morning.
I’m Carl and live in South Oxfordshire, I have just ordered a new QashQai, expecting delivery 2nd week of October.
After a good test drive and getting what I believe to be a good deal, a significant discount and roof bars, cycle racks, dog guard and vanity plate transfer included, I’m a little nervous about ownership.
After reading quite a lot about the car on this forum it seems to me that there’s a lot of issues folks are having with them. On the other hand there’s a lot of loyalty, with some folks having had a few models.
I’m looking forward to getting the car, I’m hoping it will be as reliable as the MINI it’s replacing ( 2014 Cooper D 121,000 miles from new)
Edit to add. It’s a Tekna in Vivid Blue.
Good Morning!

There's certainly a couple of quirky things about them and most of it relates to the electronic gizmos. Other issues are due to age and a few to early life. Plus general misunderstandings.
Early life issues are covered by the 3 year warranty. You need to have the car serviced by Nissan to keep that going at your cost. But don't let any Nissan dealer slap you down...consult here before proceeding if they wind you up.
I've had many cars..VW's, Chevrolet, Mazda's, BMW, Ford's and now Nissan...they all suffer "issues" and my spanners tend to beat them all down. Getting difficult now!

Welcome to this forum.
You haven't said what engine and transmission you're getting but the problematic 1.2 from the J11 is no more, the problematic CVT grearbox is no more (except on the 1.7 diesel 4x4), and hopefully the AC condensors and batteries they're now using are sound.
On the downside, people have reported significant problems recently with Adblue and collision detection. Hopefully these are being resolved.
I'd also avoid diamond cut wheels (though the Tekna has them as standard and swapping them costs £922.99/£1208.78).

I certainly agree with that. I stuck to a 1 year old N Connecta and it is truly more than enough IMO. Also the deals were very good as a result. Simply keep threatening (nicely) to walk away.
As someone of a lifetime of electronics and software I should be enthusiastic. Its very interesting but....I have to wind myself in often. I simply remember all those A to D interfaces and the foolishness of many software persons. Repair bills/parts are truly terrible. The extended 2nd hand market is not rosy and those EV cars are going to hammer that home hard.

The manufacturers seem to be investing a lot into EV but I can’t ever see them being good enough or long range to be any use in my life time.
On order: Vivid Blue Tekna.

Yes, there is a current "push"...lets say. Likely because of two motor shows in Germany and China has German manufacturing on the run.
