I used a capacitor pack on my camera because of a threat of camera battery igniting/blowing in extreme heat at the windscreen area. Not a Super Cap though...so thats interesting.
I've not checked what the USB outlets do on power down and locking doors. I assume it'll cut power completely in a similar way to running lights.
The issue with permanent power is that if the camera is processing continually it could contribute to main car battery depletion. Its happened to me when I was experimenting with a Ford Focus....dead by morning! Life then began in the company of a spare car battery, no doubt in the wrong place?

I am hoping that somebody can kindly point me in the right direction. I bought a used QASHQAI Tekna Dig T [2018 plate] and the vehicle does not appear to have a fuse diagram/chart. I want to hard-wire a dash cam from the fuse panel under the glove box and I do not know which fuse to piggy-back.
I want the dash cam to come on with the ignition and turn off when the ignition is switched off.
If somebody can guide me, it will be much appreciated

I followed the very detailed advice contained in an historic post - and the step by step pictures and disassembly instructions were invaluable
