Passenger door lock won’t open from outside!

Hello!!
Have a 2018 Qashqai and the passenger door won’t unlock either using fob or I key button! Well it does occasionally but most of the time not!
Have tried looking through manual and online but can’t find something I am doing wrong! Any one else experience this? Is it garage check in time??
Any advice appreciated

Thanks Dave have tried this but still no luck. Weirdly all the other doors open just passenger so either I am doing the button pressing wrong or think it’s faulty!
Will pop up to garage and see if one of the staff can give me a “unlocking car for dummies” session

That sounds like a faulty door handle system which includes a bit of electronics to communicate with the car security system. Back on warranty I'd say.

I've got the same issue on drivers door sometimes works and other times won't did the OP get there's sorted what was the issue ?

I had this problem with my 2017 qashqai (as well as many, many other probs), luckily (?) Covered under warranty...needed a part replaced in the door.
Hope this helps and you get sorted

Just bringing this thread back to life, it appears that we are experiencing similar problems with the front passenger door.
Intermittently will not open using the exterior handle but opens ok with the interior handle.
If I use the selective lock option, first press of unlock button on the fob and the drivers door will unlock, all three other doors are locked, press a second time and both rear doors are unlocked along with the boot, however the front passenger door is still locked?
If I un-tick the selective lock icon, first press of the fob, drivers, both rear and boot unlock but front passenger door is still locked? Reach over and unlock using the internal door handle and voila it opens. Then to throw a spanner in the mix, the following day the door opens as it should.
Car is booked in with Nissan to have a look see and I'll update with their recommendations.

Got the car back today, been at the Dealership since Tuesday. Unfortunately it's taken all this time since my previous post as every time it was with them for other warranty work the blooming thing opened, and as they (dealer) cannot prove to Nissan that a fault does indeed exist it couldn't be done, but has now eventually been fixed.
New door handle linkage and actuator fitted and so far so good
