Newbie in Spain

Hello All
Moved to Spain last month, and my new 1.3 tekna automatic was waiting for me, it is left hand drive, but very pleased with it so far. Getting my head round the satnav and audio is not straight forward, I have updated the maps to latest, but where I live the roads are not shown, yet my stand alone Tom Tom sat nav (had for 3 years) shows everything.
How does the connect work for new owners.
Probably have many more questions, but they can wait for now

I have the same car and find my UK map is only about a year out of date.
Perhaps a conversation with the dealer is in order ?

Yes tried that first, but seemed to be taking forever with the 3ngine running, so did the usb which I think went in OK what’s your version? Is it a Europe map?

The car has a full Europe map, but the update I downloaded was UK only (my choice, no plans to head to Europe this year). Took about 10 - 15 minutes. Can’t tell you what version of the map I have, I’m at my daughter's house and my car is at home.
