Qashqai Model: Mk.2 Qashqai Facelift - J11b (2017–2021)

Post by chrispyphillips »

Hi all. I'm after some quick advice. As per everyone who owns or has ever owned a Qashqai, the Air conditioning has gone less than 2 years into owning it and being told it had been 'topped up. This is the 2nd qashqai I've owned thats had this issue.

I took a photo and video of liquid coming out of the chassis this time last year - can anyone knowledgeable please confirm if this is in fact the right area where these leaks happen from?

Thanks in advance

Is this not just simply condensation dripping off of it?

Generally this is the problem with the Air Con the leaking Compressor. We used to get this slight weepage under our QQ before and after the Condenser Change. You can give out a lot of money out for recharging and the problem remains.

Thanks both. The garage have told me previously it was condensation... but to lose all air con after 18 months (this photo was taken a year ago and I haven't used the car since March *covid) makes me skeptical... plus its the 2nd time its happened.

But, appreciate the replies

Recently we are seeing A/C leakage from 2 places one being the condenser and the other from the lower A/C condenser seal. Got pics of leaks but unable to upload for some reason.
What you are seeing dripping from underneath your vehicle is condensation that's accumulated on the evaporater means the AC is working.

Welcome to this forum. You won't see the AC fluid dripping - it will instantly evaporate. As people have said that's just condensation and totally as expected.
