Stop Start whilst Driving !

I was reading an article the other day regarding the “Stop Start Button” and what would happen if this was pushed whilst driving accidentally when playing with a Dash mounted iPhone for example (a No No). Never really thought about this point but found some information and a video which might be of interest to some (not really QQ related) - Dave
Basically the post is just for Interest !

What happens if you push the button WHILE driving ? ( Don't try this in ... :

Interesting Dave...never thought about it before but a long press makes sense. I'll try mine later when I find an "empty road".

I had a 1997 BMW 5 series over rev suddenly caused by a faulty/sticking fuel control valve. It did it the first time right in front of a pedestrian crossing..looks .

The same car (key ign) a year later suffered an ignition key lock failure and locked the steering on me. The car was stopped/stationary at the time and happened when I turned the key. Cost me £50 to get recovered 1 mile. Lock barrel shaft had suddenly fractured. I dug the whole lock barrel out....with immense difficulty. Think this was supposed to be an anti theft lock barrel meaning that the shaft was pre weakened? Its the part of the lock that turns a contactor for ignition/starter motor.
