Mitsubishi Future (Alliance / Renault)

The question of Mitsubishi which is part of the “Alliance” has been mentioned often with regard to the availability in the UK. It appears that Germany is still the biggest market place for Mitsubishi Vehicles even in Corona times, 46,000 were sold in 2020 through 400 Dealers. The old German Boss is now returning to Mitsubishi and the Eclipse Cross Plug-In-Hybrid and two New Models based on the Renault Vehicles Clio / Captur will be available in 2023. Until the end of 2022 there will be no model changes.
Eclipse Cross Plug-In-Hybrid :

MITSUBISHI announced that the OUTLANDER PHEV has closed out 2020 as Europe's best-selling plug-in hybrid SUV. A total of 26,673 units were sold across Europe in 2020, and the OUTLANDER PHEV became the second best-selling plug-in hybrid across all segments.
Outlander PHEV :

“Mitsubishi has confirmed that it will return to the European market in 2023 following extensive internal discussions within the Renault-Nissan Alliance. A new arrangement has been agreed that will see Renault produce two “sister vehicles” for Mitsubishi at its French production facilities, specifically for sale in Europe. However, the Japanese brand remains firm on its decision to leave the UK.”

Gel, many Thanks for that information, it is amazing how many of these Manufacturers “Heritage” Collection there are around.
I know you are now a Mazda Man, but just recently I found this Toyota Heritage Collection in Cologne Germany another nice find for car enthusiasts. As you know there is a Nissan Museum in Zama, Japan which has been posted on before - Dave
