Well, after 5 or 6 years of Qashqai ownership we have swapped allegiance to Ford!

I was quite sad seeing SW66EGY leaving the fold as, apart from the battery going when we first got it, it was a nice place to be.

Main reason for ditching Nissan was the lack of a dealership up here, we're 120 miles and an hour's boat journey away from Inverness. When nearly everything nowadays requires plugging the car into a computer and the car getting no younger it was decided to get an EcoSport from our local Ford dealer.

The Ford dealer is only a 2 minute drive from our front door and we have the added bonus that our son works there as well!

I believe that SWEEGY πŸ˜€ will be sold at auction shortly so you'll maybe see the new owner on here, hopefully with no problems as there was nothing much wrong with it when we traded it in, I just put 4 new Avon tyres on it and MOTd it a couple of weeks before! πŸ™„

So, farewell and thanks for the help along the way.

Turvey, Good to hear you were pleased with the QQ, but looks like you made the correct decision regarding the Servicing / Dealership as the QQ gets older. All the Best with the Ford Ecosport what sort of Spec did you get compared to the QQ, I would be interested Engine, Gearbox etc - Stay Healthy and Cheers Dave πŸ€—

Hi Dave, peace of mind with the local dealers indeed.

Choice of cars is kinda limited up here as you can imagine and they don't sit for long on the forecourt so we didn't have much time to think about it. We know the previous owner and know that it hasn't been abused, raced or rallied!

EcoSport is the ST-line, with a 1litre (100ps) engine and 6 speed manual. Spec wise it's pretty much the same as the QQ was with the addition of heated seats, steering wheel AND windscreen! πŸ‘ Manual handbrake again which takes a bit of getting used to!

Seems a nice enough drive but we've not managed to get away south with it yet, but it's comfortable enough and high enough for Mrs Turvey and her bad back.

Service and MOT, included in the sale price, on Friday as well.
