I did post some information a few years back on these LED Door Lights which we had on our J11A and we then transferred them to the new J11B. I have just replaced the CR2032 Batteries ready for the coming dark nights and the Winter.
I do like to be seen from behind and that is the reason for these as Berlin City is a haven for Bicycles which are a big danger to cars this was the prime reason I decided to install them on the Side Doors. These Red Warning Lights which seem to work very well, are cheap, easy to install (a little patience is needed to align the Light and magnet on the door and door frame) and they “Blink” and turn OFF automatically.
I was a little disappointed when I asked our Nissan Dealer if the J12 would have these as a Std Fitment, but the answer was a NO ! so for very little money they could be termed as an improvement - Hopefully of some interest Dave 👍😉

I do like the idea of these, for safety. I've been looking into fitting some wired in ones by replacing a grommet inside the door, with some red led marker lights like these, for example.

Then linking to the welcome light cables that I fitted. I think they'll fit, but only just. The only question is whether you'd see the lights shining up the side of the unopened doors.

Maybe one for lapalmeraie to explore as our tutorial expert.

 thanks :D

Well personally I won't install those, as I have my welcome lights under the car that light up quite some area so my open door won't remain unseen.
But you could wire these kind of lights in two ways in i.m.o.

1) to the M54 connector that is situated at the right hand of the car, quite high up behind the kickpanel in front of the right door.
You should dismount the liner in order to find it, it might be taped upwards.
The original welcome lights are wired to this connector.

2) wire it to the roomlamps, behind the three lights in front you have three cables, one ground, one that's live online when the door is openend, and one that's switched.
Use the ground and the second one and it will behave as wanted.

For tutorials I can suggest my "window closer module" video if you want to find out how to open the doorpanel.
For wiring to the M54, Dan (The Qashqai Guy on YT) has a great tutorial
For wiring to the R14 rooflamp I suggest my footwell light tutorial

Alan, naturally a Hard Wired Job would be ideal and more professional against the “Cheapie” method, but it is simple option and it works. I found this pic today which just shows the breakdown of the parts involved if of interest - whatever method you go for I hope you will be pleased with it - Dave 🤨
