Quacker - I think that there's a bit more to this than just an inept form-filler.
Tekna CVT 1.6 Magnetic Red - born 4/4/14 P/X 25/10/2015 for £19k with 12,000 on the clock - great car but time to change. No problems whatsoever in those 18 month's.

Ive never heard from the dealer. I have never had an apology for this cock up I now no longer own a Nissan vehicle having handed it back to Nissan and now own a Honda.I am currently seeking legal advice on persuing Nissan and the dealer as I and others believe this to be an act of fraud..

They want to check the tread depth and tyre pressures too. 36k tyres same tread as 9k. What make are they? I will get them on my car. Lol

I'm not really that surprised by this. I used to work for a haulage firm that when a ministry inspection of vehicle maintenance records was due, would have the fitters checking mileages against tachograph records so they could write up backdated check sheets showing fictitious work done.

Best of luck with that. In my opinion there's more to life though. What makes you think that the Honda dealer is any better? Not at all sure Honda dealer is, and wouldn't trust the Nissan dealer's service department do do anything complex, further than I could throw the big service manager.Main dealers are all glitz at the front of shop and most tend to be fairly useless at the back of shop. I don't know what it is, but they just don't hack it when it comes to doing jobs right. That's my experience after dealing with main dealers and independent specialists over a 40 year or more period. The good independents are miles better than most main franchise dealers. Only in a small handful of cases have I seen main dealers give a high standard of work and give good value. I could name them but two of the three have gone out of business. An amazing number of main dealers I have dealt with have gone out of business over the years, possibly as a result of investing money in their premises and too many pen pushers to satisfy the brand's franchise managers. They end up with super-high overheads and a system that is all froth and no substance and have to charge the earth for it to try and make ends meet.
