Dash Cam:I bought one of these from a mail order coy for £39.95 last year, but haven't hard wired, just plug in, and made wires as neat as I could.Crash for Cash scams seem to be as bad as ever, especially in certain parts of countrywith certain populations! Earlier in year on Amazon for £8.50, so got one for wife's mota. Good quality resolutionwhen played back. I'd say well worth the money; you have to add an SD card to record, but they're cheap as chips.

Hi Gel, I've had one in my van for about a year now and I wouldn't be without it. My partner received her QQ this week and we talked about getting one for it (just checked out your Amazon link and was shocked at how cheap they are now). Only concern would be hiding the ugly wiring.... any thoughts?

As the cabling's black, I just thread around an air freshener plugged into one of vents, down into socket;keep cable excess wound up in ashtray. If I was that concerned I suppose you could route behind front of dashboard and back around, or hard wire into glove box area as others have mentioned?

Thanks for taking the time to take a picture, the air freshner is a very good idea. Does this model power on and off with the ignition (via the cig lighter) and record automatically or do you have to start it manually.

You just have to pull/push power plug into cig lighter socket, and turns itself on automatically as that lighter socket (unlike other one) is permanently live.I just leave in slightly pulled out when parked up.
