When we arrived in Florida we noticed a Nissan behind us in the same Pearlescent White Color we have on our QQ Tekna. It turned out to be a Murano which certainly looked the Business with it’s Chrome additions. I then took a look at the US Nissan Specification & price Data on the Website for the Rogue & Murano. I was shocked at what was included in the different Specs (Fully Loaded etc) and especially the prices and the larger engines. I still have a preference for the European Design QQ though it looks more sleaker, but the comparison with what we get in Europe is a Joke :x

If you have some time just take a look at the attached Nissan Data – Dave :)

Everything in Europe and especially the UK, price wise, we get ripped off.Don't ask me why, perhaps higher taxes, but I think there is more to it than that. Cars, phones, electronics etc. are always more expensive here, and I think it is just down to greed by the suppliers.
Perhaps we do not challenge prices enough or maybe it's the " I want it now" culture we have here, where the manufacturers think the fools will pay any price we ask as they want it today.
It's not just Nissan who offer better prices in the States, others do as well, and also give a better specification as well...Rant Over...Jon

This subject of introducing the QQ to replace the Rogue in the US is in the news again which is great for Nissan European Design Centre - Dave :)

Nissan buyers who are looking for a cheaper alternative to the Rogue can choose either the Juke, which is noticeably smaller or the Rogue Select, which was introduced in 2007 and is starting to seriously show its age. Sources close to Nissan have revealed that the Rogue Select will be dropped in the coming months and replaced by the Qashqai, a smaller crossover that was primarily designed for Europe. The Qashqai and the Rogue both ride on Renault-Nissan’s modular CMF platform, but the Qashqai is nearly a foot shorter than its bigger sibling. Nissan could make several minor visual changes to the Qashqai to prepare it for the U.S. market, but, broadly speaking, the model that the US will get will be nearly identical to the one that’s been on sale across Europe for about a year and a half.

One is a possibly a little too long but gives a better idea of the car has, but the video quality is not what I would call great - Dave 8-)

Nissan Murano named “SUV of the Year” by Southern Automotive Media Association and automaker received five accolades during the Ruedas ESPN Awards Ceremony, including “Manufacturer of the Year”. As part of the 45th Miami International Auto Show the Nissan Murano was named "SUV of the Year" by the Southern Automotive Media Association (SAMA). The nine judge panel based their decision on three main criteria: design, technology and value. The Murano’s bold design, premium interior and thoughtful technologies continue to bring style and functionality to consumers across the Southern states. The Murano is a tremendous, well-rounded buy for drivers looking for a fun-to-drive, well-equipped and extremely comfortable crossover – Dave :D

David, just in the USA again at the moment and seen adverts for the Rouge Sport (qashqai) they say its coming in march.

Seen a couple of new rouges on the road, i presume the are latest models, and saw a new Murano when passing a dealer last weekend on the forecourt. They look very nice!

Cheers in the information
All the best

If this was available in the EU / Germany I think I would go for one “IF” it had the same Spec as the US. It is manufactured in Russia but most likely with another “Country Spec” and not available to us  - Dave :D
