Qashqai Model: Mk.2 Qashqai Facelift - J11b (2017–2021)

I am not sure how many members actually read this post or are actually worried about their QQ's being stolen but the fact is the problem has still not been addressed by the manufacturers. I am not paranoid on this subject but it hit the news again here last week regarding the stealing of "Keyless" Cars in the Motoring Press & TV. A test was carried out by the CCCAC (Chaos Computer Club Aachen) and the Autobild Motor Magazine. Some equipment was put together for €90 and used to enter cars with the owners agreement. One of these was a J10 QQ and the comment was that the J11 QQ can also be entered.

Now we tried the method of the Key wrapped in Aluminium and that worked cheaply and it was also mentioned previously that the Key Cases tested did not function. Now a Co. "Themis" has come up with a new product launched in July 16 and having read up on it I decided to purchase one through Amazon Germany (24 UK Pounds). I tried it this morning and it functions as described, you just have to remember to get into the habit of swooping compartments but for the price you cannot go far wrong. I just thought I would share this if there is any interest from members. The QQ is not a Ferrari as mentioned before but it is a substancial investment to be looked after - Dave  :D

The Key case outside is of Nano material and has two internal compartments, one is 100% shielded with 23% Copper + 20% Nickel + 57% Polyester strong : 0.08-0.09mm Resistance : 0.03-0.05 OHM, Efficiency : 71dB-92dB, Frequency Range : 30MHz-1500MHz.

Glad you enjoyed the information  - Dave :)

I did not make the specification but this is what is stated : The Shielding material is made out of 2 Layers of High Grade Nano Material. This exterior material comes from the inside (probably they mean similiar to) of the Audi R8 and is manufactured by a large German Automobile Supplier. So could the information be correct ?

Perhaps this is what they are refering - CNF "Carbon Nano Fibre" : http://apsci.com/?page_id=21

Depending on the materials the wallet is made from it could also hold an electric charge which may wipe the card.

I suppose that if the card was wiped no one could cloan it

Gel, these Sleeves are certainly a cheaper option for credit cards but I am not sure if these would stop the key copying business. Also it does not appear that there would be sufficient space to fit a Nissan Keyless Key into and one end appears to be open, now whether that is relevant or no I do not know.

What I was looking for was a method of carrying or storing a key that could operate the QQ and also screen the Key to stop copying at home or on the move, hence the two compartments with sufficient space. What is surprising to me is the number of cars stolen with this copying method and I just thought that the Key Case cost was a small outlay in comparison to the cost of a stolen QQ and all the hassles (like evidence to the Police or Insurance when there is no damage) - the Case is still working satisfactory Dave :)

What this Co. did was to dig in and duplicate or develope a system to get into cars electronically (lots of Press & TV Reports here). They then developed the Secu-Key to prevent this assurances obsèques. The Co. Is apparently not a Manufacturer but a Research & Developement Co. - Regards Dave ;)
Yes, but sometimes you do not have to be a manufacturer supplier to sell top quality products I am wrong.
