I had previously "expressed an interest" in a Honda e and today received the "make a reservation" email - £800 refundable to get you into the queue.
HOWEVER....
I've now discovered the price! There are two versions - the Honda e is "from £26,160" AFTER taking off the £3,500 government grant - and the Honda e Advance is "from £28,660" ditto grant.
That's an awful lot to pay for a small city car with limited range. Honda claim "up to 136 miles" - other electric cars are doing much better.
Compare with a Seat Mii - £19,300 and 161 mile range. You're paying an awful lot for the Honda's gadgetry! Those "wing mirrors" for instance (to bring us neatly back onto topic! ). I'd been assuming around £20,000...
