The new 2017 Nissan Pathfinder has just been announced with a launch in Sept. but at present no prices are available. On reading the Spec. there is a lot of stuff that has been added which would be nice to get in Europe, we do tend to miss out . Engine though is a 3,5l DIG V6 with 284hp - Dave

Gel, thanks for that info' but the planning is for India !. Perhaps we might get this sometime in the EU in the near future. It is just interesting to me what is being developed, tested and marketed these days and it does also appear Nissan is up there with the best - Dave

You'd imagine Europe would be receptive to this concept or in QQ wrapper.
Believe also sold in Far East; perhaps our Asian members could confirm?

I can say that they don't have the QQ in Japan or Thailand. Not sure about anywhere else.
The X-Trail hybrid is available in Thailand - https://en.nissan.co.th/vehicles/new-ve ... trail.html
The X-Trail only in Japan - http://www.nissan.co.jp/EN/

This system provides effortless and accurate control which is enabled by the Active Engine Break, Active Ride Control and Active Trace Control. The 2015 Nissan X Trail Hybrid model also packs considerable power with a pulling capacity of 1500kg when braked and 750kg when un-braked. Departure angles have been reduced from 28 to 24 degrees. It comes with a 5mm outbound model which enables each to reach pavement clearance levels of below 210mm.

2015 Nissan X Trail hybrid US Release Date and Price
For such a high performing car, the price while not officially stated is projected to be affordable. It is estimated to be similar to the 2014 model thus will range in the region of $27,000 which is a price expected of Nissan. The release date is yet to be announced and there is no indication of an earlier than planned release. Having already featured in the Frankfurt Motorcar show earlier this year, it is expected to hit sales store sometime in 2016.
Why launch in INDIA?
Currently, the situation of big SUVs in India is quite grim, specially in the national capital region (Delhi NCR), where registration of cars having 2000cc+ diesel engine are banned. Some manufacturers are downsizing the engines while some are considering introducing petrol motors. Now Nissan is preparing to launch the new X-Trail in India but in a hybrid version only. This helps the Japanese carmaker offer a petrol SUV that returns fuel efficiency figures closer to a diesel engine so you have the best of both worlds.
