Read to the bottom some good toys planned app wiseFour trim levels are available: Visia, Acenta, Acenta Premium and Tekna.Standard Nissan Qashqai equipmentEntry-level Visia
derivatives are all fitted with manual air conditioning, a five-inch
display screen for the infotainment system (which includes Bluetooth and
USB connectivity), Hill Start Assist, heated mirrors and cruise
control. You don't get alloy wheels, though a€“ 16-inch steelies are
standard fit for the Visia. Like the rest of the range, you get a tyre
repair kit rather than a spare wheel as standard a€“ a proper spare is an
optional extra.Moving up to the Acenta grade
adds 17-inch alloy wheels in silver, dual-zone automatic air
conditioning and front fog lamps along with automatic headlamps and
wipers. Extra interior kit includes plusher seat fabric, a rear armrest
with a cupholder, leather trim for the steering wheel and gear knob and
two extra speakers for the stereo.Acenta Premium
versions gain an uprated multimedia system called NissanConnect. This
includes DAB digital radio and smartphone connectivity, with a range of
apps in the pipeline for social networking, music and entertainment.
Also on the kit list are parking sensors front and rear, keyless entry
and push-button start, a rear view camera (which usefully is
self-cleaning) and a panoramic glass roof, which helps make the cabin
less claustrophobic.Several active safety technologies are
standard for this trim, including Front Collision Avoidance (scans the
road ahead via radar and issues an audible warning if it detects an
imminent collision, before applying the brakes automatically in an
emergency), Lane Departure Warning (alerts the driver if they drift out
of lane without indicating) and High Beam Assist (which automatically
switches the headlamps from full beam to avoid dazzling other traffic). The top-level Tekna
trim features 19-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and a glass roof. On the
inside there are heated seats with part-leather upholstery and a
seven-inch touchscreen display with smartphone connectivity and Nissan's
Around View camera system to help with parking and low-speed
manoeuvring. This uses cameras on all sides of the car to create a
colour-display birds-eye view of its surroundings. Front and rear
parking sensors are standard too. The Tekna can also go one step further
and park itself a€“ the Park Assist system can autonomously steer into
parallel and bay parking spaces while the driver controls the pedals. There's also a limited-run launch edition called the Qashqai Premier
(restricted to 290 cars in the UK) with initial sales reserved for
existing Nissan customers. Based on the Tekna trim, Premier editions
feature numbered badges and are available only in black with a 1.6-litre
diesel engine and four-wheel drive. Standard kit includes part-leather
and Alcantara trim, 19-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and a glass roof.Optional Nissan Qashqai accessoriesVisia
and Acenta models can be specced with the optional "Smart Vision Pack'
which includes front and rear parking sensors, an auto-dimming
"anti-dazzling' mirror and three active safety technologies from
Nissan's "Safety Shield' collection: Front Collision Avoidance, Lane
Departure Warning and Traffic Sign Recognition. All of the above is
standard on the Acenta Premium and Tekna trims.Other safety technologies such as Driver Attention Alert, Blind Spot Warning and High Beam Assist are optional extras.A
sat-nav system is available as part of the NissanConnect multimedia
system. It's broadly effective but a little last-minute at times with
its instructions, making for the occasional hasty lane change.Currently
in development is a free "Augmented Reality' app for both iOS and
Android smartphones, enabling the user to point their phone at items in
the cabin and have an explanation of their function appear on the
screen. A similar app for the engine bay is planned too.

Hmmm have to ask yourself though...if well designed it shouldn't need a lot of explanation...it should be intuitive.

Ive always wanted to know the role a door pillar plays lolThis sort of software must of cost a fortune and yet they save literally pennys where its neededThis car when on drawing board clearly had plans to be something else, something radical and modern then someone in a board room obviously decided to launch the product way before it was ready and simply fit the parts we got roll em out attitude

It should have been what the new X-Trail is going to be, by all accounts all the stuff removed from the Qashqai is in the X-Trail.
Goodbye Qashqai, Hello Ford Kuga, much quieter ride and a decent sound system :)

I'm not so sure about that having just moved 'up' to a QQ14 from an X-Trail. I would never have bought the old model QQ, it was just too small a car for my likings. The X-Trail on the other hand really was dated so for the new one to have the basic DNA of the QQ14 makes a lot of sense and that is the best place for that extra row of seats and it also fits it so well to be the successor to the Rogue in the States? I suspect the the QQ14 would also go down well in the US and be more than a match for the Ford Explorer - that said they do like their inefficient large petrol engines.
Tekna CVT 1.6 Magnetic Red - born 4/4/14 P/X 25/10/2015 for £19k with 12,000 on the clock - great car but time to change. No problems whatsoever in those 18 month's.
