I just hope this is of interest and not boring ! I saw an article on Car Restorations on TV here and I could not believe that this particular BMT Restorations Setup was in the Philippines – Dave :)

The Shop is set up on an old US Military Base in the Clark Freeport Zone (No Duty / No Tax) in the Pampanga, Philippines. The idea came from an Australian businessman Jim Byrnes, the Byrnes Motor Trust Restoration facility was established six years ago. The location is where over 200 workers are skilled and dedicated, but labour rates are a fraction of those in the world’s main centres of classic car restoration, meant that Byrnes could get his collection restored well but cheaply, commissioning restorations in batches for economies of scale.
