Perhaps I'm old fashioned, but I would recommend a complete Faraday Shield for cars. We already have too many distractions when driving.

But that would stop passengers using such devices so will never happen, although passengers are also a big distraction at times so maybe we should go to cars been single seaters ;)

I can't think of any cars that have ever been single seaters that we can go to. :?

Gel, a nice find thanks for sharing it I have forwarded it to our Dealer and will wait for reactions. What I found a nice option was that music could still be played - Thanks again ;)
I think I or we are from the "Old School" we always have our iPhones with us but they are only used when actually needed. In the QQ phoning is only by Bluetooth thanks to Siri as the phone is in a pocket and when our system crashed recently and people tried to call, they had to wait until I had stopped. Sorry we are modern in most respects but these things when driving are Taboo, others will disagree which is their decision - Dave :)

Our local newspaper today has an article + video on a new app developed by Andrew Irwin from Ireland. The app is called Drive Safe and when activated it stops all calls, texts etc. from distracting driver, the app detects when car is in motion. Of course the same could be achieved by turning off the phone when driving, but that might take willpower.

But if a car is hit by lightening the occupants remain safe, it therefore acts as a Faraday Cage.

Signal Shield - IIRC the gaps in the cage/shield must be smaller than the wavelength of the electromagnetic wave you wish to block. Windows would be a significant problem. Maybe a box within the car into which you place your tellingbone ........
