Looks like MG (owned by SAIC China) are manufacturing a small SUV in competition to the Nissan Juke & Renault Captur - Dave 😊

I would find out first what the NCAP rating is. Chinese care very little for quality in their throw away society.

As our Qashqai is coming back from the garage for a new air con, 3 years next February and Ive always been a fan of MG and have had two, this is the next car as we need to have a car thats reliable and with a 7 year warranty....Ive been to see one and its as good as our 64 plate qashqai .

How much do you value your safety or your families safety? Here is a link to the CAR Magazine web site & a quick quote.

What does that mean for the ZS’s safety rating? Owing to the lack of AEB the most it can get in Euro NCAP’s official safety rating is three stars. For a family car launched in 2017, that’s a worrying prospect, we'd say.

Regarding the comment of the NCAP 3 Star Rating, it is indeed a concern when choosing a vehicle and I am one for the Safety side so I am in Agreement. But there are People that do not have these Funds available to get all these sort of additions (Bells & Whistles") when buying, as the vehicle has to meet their pocket, but now at least these additions are gradually becoming a Std. Feature Item which is a positive - Dave :)

A NEW Road Safety Campaign is urging buyers of new cars to ask three important safety-related questions before putting pen to paper and purchasing their vehicle :
1. What Euro NCAP test rating does this car have?
2. Is Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) fitted to this car – and is it standard?
3. What else should I do to maximise the safety protection offered by this car?

There also appears to be differences in Countries on these NCAP Stars such as Australia ANCAP just as a comment. - see below on the MG GS Model which went from a 4 Star to a 5 Star :

Australia Sept 17 : MG GS is the first Chinese car to get ANCAP five-star rating. This is because the GS improved on its initial ANCAP rating of four stars following the fitment of intelligent seat belt reminders for second row seats, and the subsequent strong performance in the tough ‘pole test’.
