The Weekend is here just something to read up on. The PodRide is a fully enclosed E-Bike developed to be used in all weathers and is looking for funding. Not bad for running down to Lidl and back. The videos are Fun to watch and it seems to handle well also – Dave :D

Sinclair C5 anyone?

When you get to a certain size, just about anything will look like a toy, I think we are at that point with this.

Daewar, just some facts on your C5 comments above, your comparison is between a 1985 and a 2017 designed concept vehicle and obviously there are developements and technologies that have changed – 3 wheels against 4, open vehicle, 4 wheel drive, battery power, distance, speed etc …. These sort of development vehicles although on the small side are beginning to pickup now (Start Up´s) in a big way and IMHO it is positive that these sort of Technologies are being used and adapted, otherwise we just stand still, you may well not agree – Dave :D

Here are just a few facts : The Sinclair C5 was a small one-person battery 3 wheeled electric vehicle, technically an "electrically assisted pedal cycle" designed by Sir Clive Sinclair. This C5 developed as an electrically powered tricycle with a polypropylene body and a chassis designed by Lotus Cars. It was intended to be the first in a series of increasingly ambitious electric vehicles, but in the event the planned development of the follow up C10 and C15 electric cars never got further than the drawing board. In Jan 1985 the C5 was unveiled but did not receive an enthusiastic reception from the British media. Its sales prospects were blighted by poor reviews and safety concerns expressed by consumer and motoring organisations.
The vehicle's limitations were a short range, a maximum speed of only 15 miles per hour same as the PodRide (24 km/h), a battery that ran down quickly and a lack of weatherproofing which made it impractical for most people's needs. It was marketed as an alternative to cars and bicycles, within three months of the launch production had been slashed by 90% and production ceased entirely by Aug. 1985. Out of 14,000 C5s made, only 5,000 were sold before its manufacturer Sinclair Vehicles went into receivership. The original price was 399 UK Pounds, but unsold ones changed hands for 5000 Pounds. The C5 became known as one of the great marketing bombs of postwar British industry and a notorious ... example of failure.

I think Noddys car is more practical, it has 2 seats, a big boot that holds more than a just a sandwitch from Lidl. Also you get lots of fresh air into your lungs :)
