I have mentioned before that we were interested in the new QQ J11B but we had some reservations.
These being 1. Hands Free Telephoning Missing (Hot Subject) 2. Awaiting the ProPILOT in Germany (not a must) 3. Ours is a 1,2L Petrol Manual which is now deemed “Very Dirty” 4. We wanted a 1,6L with CVT but was not available.

From what I have now understood the 1,2L has been stopped and the newly developed 1,3L DIG-T developed by Renault / Nissan / Mercedes with a Particle Filter will now be available with 103kW (140PS) and 118kW (160PS). There will be no 1,6L engine available.

Regarding Diesels there will now only be a 1,5dCi 85kW (115PS) and later a 1,75dCi & All-Mode 4x4i with a 110kW (150PS). Both Petrol & Diesels will meet the new Euro 6d Temp Specifications / WLTP for 1st Sept 18.

It appears the CVT Auto has also been dropped and the DCT Double Clutch Gearbox will now be available and also the 6 Speed Manual Box.

Den, Mate ! As this subject was Hot I thought I would post the facts I was given verbally and in Black and White for those interested. I can understand the frustration with Nissan but it is not for me to make a judgement. I promised more electronic information for interested members but now is it still of interest ? - Dave

Not all people here can be negative about Nissan or Qashqai?

The advantages of EDC automatic transmission:
Renault's new EDC gearbox is a genuine automatic transmission. It dispenses with the need for a clutch pedal, while gearshift control is of the 'P-R-N-D' type, plus an 'up/down' shift mode. The ideal gear is selected by an electronic control unit and gearshifts are both automatic and comfortable.
To optimize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption, Renault has chosen a dual dry clutch system for its EDC transmission. The first of the two clutches looks after the odd-number gears (1st, 3rd and 5th), while the second covers the even-number gears (2nd, 4th and 6th), as well as reverse. The gears are carried by four shafts: two concentric primary shafts (each of which is connected to a clutch) and two secondary shafts. Gears are matched by means of synchronizers, as is the case with a manual gearbox. These synchronizers, like the clutches, are operated by electric actuators which are in turn controlled by a control unit.

Well as mentioned yesterday things are beginning to happen although many doubted this. The new engines are on the way and I just got an email from our Dealer saying a Catologue will be in the post CW 43 - Dave
