I think you need to keep your eyes open as apparently a QQ with the new 1,3L (140 PS) Engine and a DCT Gearbox will be available for a Test Drive in CW 43 @ our Dealers in Berlin. I would expect that Test Models will be available in the UK sooner - Dave

Typically although the press release suggests they're now on sale, Nissan's configurator is still listing the old engines.

Hi Jet, what I posted was what I received on an email regarding a Test Drive QQ from our Dealer. After reading the Nissan Release it appears the DCT is only available on the 160 PS model. This is the model I am interested in - Sorry if this confused you Dave

Here is another write up (similiar to the Nissan one) to confirm the 1,3L engined QQ has been launched. I have questioned our Dealer but as yet there are no Nissan Catologues or Website details available - Dave

I've got a 1.3L 160 hp Tekna+ on order for Dec delivery....excited! I test drove a 1.6L and enjoyed that so with a lower tax band and same output I'll be set.

A few points I'd missed (I should pay attention!):
1. A petrol particulate filter (*) is fitted to the 1.3 DIG-T Qashqai to ensure Euro 6D compliance...
Now heard of one of those before - a problem waiting to happen like diesels?
2. ... the oil change interval is now 18,000 miles rather than 12,500 miles.
Good if you're doing lots of miles. My car was being "over-serviced" at 5,000 intervals owing to the parallel yearly requirement which presumably remains...

The new filter is tucked in behind the engine a few centimetres from the turbo, heats up very quickly and becomes effective seconds after starting from cold. The trapped particulates are superheated, reduced to CO2 and, at the same time, the unwanted HC, NOx and CO are converted to small amounts of CO2, nitrogen and water.
After leaving the filter, exhaust gases pass through a second, conventional three-way catalytic converter mounted beneath the floor. This ensures the tailpipe exhaust complies with the latest level of EU6c emissions standards even when the engine is working flat out.
