So the older buyers who thought they where getting a good deal just have been fobbed off old models to get rid of stock. Sounds like a con to me

I dont think that they said it will be the model of 2019...
So i dont think its a con.
That would mean that with the model change in 2017 it would be a scam... And all the model changes before..

Gvmdaddy, I am glad you read the posted articles as there are so much more facts there than the video. I thought I had informed enough with these two original posts after I managed to squeeze information to inform. I know there was a lot of little comments about this information and also Nissan, but to me now that the facts are all coming true.
The facts are there but yes they have to be read and the announcement dates appear also to be falling in line. I have been informed of an arranged test drive when we get back but with the 1,4L Manual but we are after the 1,6L with the DCT Box.

From posted information I believe that the new version was available from this month and the new DCT next month. There was also several comments if you buy before Sept or at discount prices it would be the older model offered.

There were comments about “It shows a lot of nothing over and over and over again !!!!!” with agreements but let’s be fair things have advanced from the J11A to the J11B (things were missing) to this upgraded model and when you Read the new Specs Electronic, Nissan Connect, Engines, Auto-Gearbox etc to me that is significant change, but there again I could be wrong or I read the wrong facts. I still like our QQ for what it is in preference to smaller SUV types.
I hope I have made things clearer - Dave :D

Hi new to the forum and new to Qashqai. Looking at getting a Tekna and have been holding of due to a lack of CarPlay.

I have been quoted for a 1.3 140 and was wanting to know if this would definitely have the new infotainment system?

I have been quoted 5 week delivery which seems to be quite quick for a new model?

You'd need to ask the dealer of exact spec in this regard.
5 week delay indicates it's not one in stock, so is a new build.
Also check against currently issue Qashqai brochure pdf on Nissan UK www.

QQJOEN, please take the advice from Gel and ask your Dealer for confirmation. Have you read all the posts here as there are comments on CarPlay there, this for instance - Dave :)

Adding to Dave's comments, i popped in to my dealers on tuesday, after reading the pess release.

As he understands it, the new connect unit is called Connect-Evo. This new unit does not have a CD player (although there seems to still be one in the pictures Dave's posted), but i can see that the SD card slot, to the right of the CD on the current J11B system has gone in these pictures.

Software updates can be done through home a wifi connection, rather than having to carry out updates with a downloaded memory stick. This apparently removes the need for customers to use their dealers to have ny involvement at all, (we'll see).

There may be software updates that reinstate the features sold to those of us who have J11B without the voice controls or droid/apple systems properly integrated as they should have been. As seemingly all of the required hardware is in the car, (buttons on the steering wheel, microphone etc.). But who knows when or even if they'll come, or if there are deeper hardware compatability issues with the differences between the units.

Getting a pre-updated J11B Connect 2 swapped for a new Evo unit would require a miracle. So not holding my breath.

Apparently the reason for the delay in providing proper droid features and the complete system as it was originally intended was an issue of licencing between Nissan and Apple / Microsoft (now responsible for the Android platform). As Nissan reached a deal with Apple first, Microsoft apparently spat their dummy out and said they didn't want to play anymore. This situation seems to have now changed, and hence both Apple and Android seem to now be available if the press release is accurate.

I've just been advise that my new 1.3l QQ hasn't got a build date as yet, potentially as they get the new infotainment system in stock and ready to be put into it.....let's hope.
