I'm still unsure what he's actually supposed to have done. How could a company like Nissan not know over a period of 8 years what he was being paid - or not being paid as it's also reported - from The Guardian:

Kyodo news agency, citing investigative sources, reported that Ghosn said he had signed documents to defer part of his salary until after retirement. But he added that the amount did not need to be declared as it had yet to be definitively fixed.

He is thought to have deferring part of his pay to avoid criticism of his high salary from employees and shareholders.

My narrow opinion is “ he’s the head of a very successful company so what if he’s got paid an awful lot, local country laws are what potentially he’s transgressed, allegedly, makes no flipping difference to me, you or most bods on the street “

Scimitargtc, sorry but I have no problems with CEO‘s getting Big Bucks if they do a good job, it is legal and above board, but I take exception to the money that goes out of the Back Door or is used privately. When you just look at for an example what has happened with the now Major Problems with Emissions primed initially by VW and you see what these High Risers got away with then I am against it. I might well be the exception but at the end of the day who is making the money for them “The Workers” and when the layoffs come who does it affect “The Workers” - this is just my opinion Dave ☹️
