I was interested in a Kadjar earlier this year and arranged to visit the local dealer. The salesman I spoke with on the phone was balancing a number of clients at the one time, so I eventually abandoned the visit. These same dealers are a disaster as I had similar experience with them when they had the Toyota franchise. Pity, as the Kadjar is a nice motor. I see from the above link that the new model takes Adblue, not a great incentive in my view.
I will hold my 2014 1.5 dci Qashqai for a little while yet, as only 36,500 kms on the clock.

Billgo, you will find that Ad Blue is also used on the Updated QQ and various other manufacturers models due to the Euro 6d Temp Emission Laws. I also noticed that the Kadjar uses a 6 Speed DCT Auto Gearbox against the QQ Petrol’s which have a 7 Speed DCT Box. The QQ Diesel has still the 6 Speed Manual or an Xtronic Box - Dave 😉

Dave, the Kadjar seems to be a lovely motor. From what I have read, and heard from users, Ad Blue is very corrosive and needs careful handling, keep it off paintwork and wear good pvc gloves. I was not aware that the updated QQ also took Ad Blue, so thank you for that.
Seasons Greetings to all,
Bill.

For info from https://www.halfords.com/wcsstore/libra ... ooklet.pdf

Do I need to wear protective clothing
when I dispense AdBlue?

This is not necessary. You might want to wear gloves to
keep your hands clean, but any spilled AdBlue can easily
be washed off with water. Adblue can cause staines on
clothes or upholstery.

What to do in the case of:

Ingestion
You can wash out your mouth with water and
drink small amounts of water.

Skin contact
If you spill AdBlue on your skin, wash it with
soap and water. AdBlue will dissolve in water.
Skin is normally unaffected by AdBlue.

Inhalation
Inhalation of AdBlue vapor may result in nausea
or lightheadedness. If you experience the latter,
relocate to a place with fresh air and wait for the
symptoms to subside.

Eye contact
AdBlue is not irritant, but may cause discomfort
in the case of eye contact. Remove any contact
lenses and flush your eyes with plenty of water.
Get medical attention if irritation occurs.

Mine (1.5 dci 115) uses adblue, not had to top up yet.

The dealer reckons it will need topping up every 3000 miles (ish).

We will see, lots of cars out there now using adblue, if it's good for the Planet then I am ok with that.

Noddy, I personally have not seen a figure stated for the AdBlue Tank Capacity but perhaps a J11B Diesel Owner can help from their Hand Book Figures or another Member has the facts - Dave :)

This is a Nissan Warning which mentions adding a minimium of 4,5Litres ..... :

Out of interest here are a couple of old posts on the AdBlue Subject :

I think I would return to petrol or hybrid . The Toyota lineup of CHR or Rav4 could be interesting, along with the Honda CRV Hybrid.
