Gel, this sort of happening is getting more and more concerning and it is now becoming time when a serious consideration about either installing a similiar System to “SecuKey” or the “Vodafone Tracker System”. I think I will discuss this when I am at our Dealer - Dave 🤨

This post has been around for some time and it needs some action from the Manufacturers ☹️ :

I couldn't lock my Impreza in Epsom in about 1990 - I don't think that was key jammers.... Just something broadcasting which blocked the remote.

A friend of mine used to live in a house at the end of a street where about 10 houses couldn't use car keyfobs, as one of the neighbours had some amateur radio rig set up.

Mine never worked when I visited him.

Had that happen around an ATS MOT outlet locally a few years back. Some industrial installations nearby but I didn't check. Its interference in the UHF band (433.92 MHz) that is corrupting the key fob transmission/reception. Could be a direct block or related to harmonics splattering the band.

It should be immediately reported to OFCOM wherever it occurs .

Was similar at my work in Portsmouth (QinetiQ). But that only affected the site car park.

Never had this problem when we all used keys :D On my old Mercedes I could use either key fob or metal key to lock the car. In fairness the metal key was to enable you to get into the car if the fob batteries failed.
