https://japancardirect.com/japan-car-news/japanese-cars-extreme-camber/

Unfortunately, in Japan, all cars must pass 車検(Shaken), the bi-annual road inspection. Unlike smog checks in the US, Shaken tests all aspects of your car including if your wheels and tires are sticking out past your fenders. The test checks for clearance 30 degrees in front of TDC (top dead center) and 50 degrees behind TDC. The simple solution to pass Shaken for wide tires and wheels that stick out past the bodyline, was to increase negative camber until the tops of the tires and wheels were tucked just inside of the fender line.

“Nissan will allegedly overhaul its lineup of available vehicles in Europe by axing models like the 370Z, GT-R, and Navara pickup. As part of a new product strategy, Nissan and Renault would each focus on separate vehicle segments in Europe. Nissan could be responsible for crossovers. Meanwhile, Renault would handle small cars and commercial vehicles” - Dave

The next-generation flagship Nissan sports car appears to be in the pipeline as the Nissan company is in the process of a massive lineup revamp which includes the GT-R in the US. Nissan is already working on the GT-R's redesign, which could come out in 2023 and is considering a performance-oriented hybrid powertrain for the GT-R, but it will be a kinetic energy recovery system. Similiar to Nissan's Le Mans race car, the GT-R LM Nismo using the same technology - Dave 😊
