If you get caught again you may regret not taking the opportunity to keep the points off your license

SP30 raised my insurance by a whole £10. I'd take the 3 points rather than a 300 mile drive, just to be spoken to in a condescending way for 5 hrs.
Well those 2 replies sum up the dilemma. As I've just experienced how easy it is to potentially get 6 pts in 1 week, my mind says keep it clean so I don't regret it down the line, my heart says it's far too expensive and a long trip to save 3pts that would only count towards a disqualification for 3 years, I've driven 30 years without getting one so the chances are probably fairly low I'd get more before that one is cleared.
I think the best plan was the one to request a Monday morning or Friday afternoon, then I could go and make a weekend of it.

So a dilemma now, do I pay £110 course fee + £80 petrol + day off work + probably have to pay for a night in a hotel, just to keep my license clean, or take it on the chin and pay £100 fine and get the 3pts.
You wont have to stay overnight if you put your foot down on the journey there and back.
