Looks like the price will stay but with extras - Dave 😊

The Rivian R1T will be starting at around $69,000 with extras such as a special glass roof that can change from clear to tinted blue. A similarly-equipped R1S SUV should also start at about $72,000. Without additional information, those extras could be worth $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 or even more. It’s all speculation at this point, but the bottom line is it will be lower than $69,000.

“The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning will go on sale in the spring of next year. It'll be available as base, XLT, Lariat, and Platinum models, and this is the equipment that they get.
Pricing will start at around $42,000 for the base model and $55,000 for the XLT; Ford has only announced MSRPs of $39,974 and $52,974 and has yet to confirm the amount of the mandatory destination charge.
The F-150 Lightning is the electric version of the F-150 pickup truck, and it'll go on sale in the spring of next year. When it does, it'll be available as base, XLT / Lariat and Platinum (silver) models similar to its gas-powered counterpart. It's only available as a four-door SuperCrew model with a 5.5-foot box, though, and there are two battery packs available. There's a Standard Range pack, which is targeting 230 miles of EPA-estimated range, and an Extended Range battery with 300 miles of estimated range. We won't know about the base work-truck model until next week, but this is what you'll be able to get on the three other models”.

Electric trucks took the spotlight in the automotive world this week, thanks to Ford’s all-electric F-150 Lightning pickup. Ford CEO Jim Farley told CNBC that the company took 20,000 reservations for the truck in the 12 hours since its big reveal on Wednesday night.
Now the Rivian R1T truck, which carries a base list price starting at $67,500, is due to be delivered beginning in June. The all-electric R1S, priced at $70,000 and up, is scheduled to roll out in August. InsideEVs reports that Rivian has a full-up waiting list of about 30,000 customers for the first wave of deliveries.

The 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning is ENORMOUS !!!

It's 5910mm long - that's over a metre longer than a standard UK parking space!

The Rivian R1T is "only" 5514mm long!

Do not forget that there are 100,000 Rivian Electric vehicles ordered by Amazon which are now starting to be delivered in Los Angeles & Denver Areas - Dave 😏
Amazon previously said the full fleet of 100,000 vehicles are scheduled to be on the road by 2030. Amazon's electrification plans aren't limited to Rivian. The company has purchased Mercedes-Benz electric vans for use in Europe (here already in Germany) and claims to have already delivered more than 20 million packages with electric vehicles in Europe and North America in 2020.
But Amazon's decision to purchase a large fleet of electric vans from Rivian has helped make the startup's future more certain. Amazon also invested an undisclosed amount in Rivian in 2019.

Nice to see you're keeping up with the latest in the electric truck world. It's crazy to think that the thread you linked is already 4 years old! Time sure flies, doesn't it? Anyway, it's super exciting that Ford was putting $500 million into Rivian. I'm stoked to see what kind of electric vehicles they come up with together. And who knows, maybe an electric F150 is in the works! That would be epic. Also, check out https://www.truckexporter.co.uk/product-category/trucks-for-sale-uk/ because they've got some sweet trucks for sale. You might have to bookmark that for future reference.

The Chinese are coming too - this has been launched in the UK already by Maxus - the T90EV and can be bought for around £50,000. It is made by SAIC - the company that bought LDV (Leyland DAF Vans).
