Filled up this morning and saw those labels, to me, it's just another label to ignore. Interestingly the super unleaded was also labelled E5

Super duper unleaded ain’t supposed to have any ethanol in it iirc the autoexpress article which made me think “why do we need to make some garages keep E5 fuel for older classics when i could use super in my classic “

I didn’t see the labels on the petrol pump when I filled up the other day at BP but I had noticed the label on my Qashqai’s petrol flap.

I wondered what the E numbers meant so I’ve learned a bit from this thread.

Thanks. ;)

Just filled up at a BP station where 95 RON was marked as E5.

Not sure a Sunday cashier would care... or even know what i was talking about.

Not sure this is as cut and dried as it seems either.
Even wiki states "in Sweden, all 95-octane gasoline is E5". and "all 95-octane fuel in Finland is E10".

Let's hope it doesn't get as complicated as Australia - when I was there in May there were about 5 grades of petrol available and several grades of diesel too.
