I’m sure there will in time be lots of well thought out comment s but whilst I’m not an eco warrior i do believe we ditch too much stuff we could repurpose

Scimitargtc, agreed !. Just a comment - I can remember in the good old days stripping down Dynamos / Starter Motors etc and replacing individual parts like Bushes, Bearings etc instead of as now Scrapping the Part and buying a Sub-Assembly new, no separate parts - Dave 🙂

There is a system which is a joint venture out here with ALBA (Large Re-Cycling Co.) and BMW called Encory : https://encory.com/

TRW Automotive a Very large Producer of Car Parts is also into the Re-Manufacturing Aftermarket: https://www.trwaftermarket.com/en/about ... facturing/

Nissan are also into the Re-Cycling Business Green Shop Activities :

Agreed; I recall in old days you could get exchange products, which were
ones traded in, and then remanufactured.
Dynamos (alternators, for younger members!) Starter & Wiper Motors, and Rads were amongst the items
in the scheme from Lucas.

Not so viable with products made in China of course, and products difficult to disassemble! 8-)
