It Looks like plans are beginning to take place in regard to Charging E-Vehicles - Dave :)
Daily Mail : The first of more than 100 solar-powered forecourts set to be built in the UK has been announced for Braintree, Essex. British firm Gridserve is behind the project and envisions the eventual replacement of petrol stations with the sites that have 24 charging spaces for electric vehicles. Future versions will be found alongside busy roads to let most electric and hybrid vehicles fully charge in less than 30 minutes. Some smaller cars with high-speed charging can be fully topped up in just ten minutes, developers claim.

Most of us Dave will be on/in bikes/bath chairs/buses/coaches or leccy trains. Risking an electric heavy leccy bus is quite a stretch I'd say. But looking at London Transport you can easily charge very high ticket prices for for little as regards service. Plenty of strikes though. They are our public transport standard and we in UK won't be going anywhere as regards that. It now would be my get out of UK time...again.

I won't be here to see it...mess up!

Colin, you could well be correct I keep looking for a easier means of transport😁. Regarding Electric Buses there are some Single Decker ones around in Berlin and the BVG (Berlin Bus Co.) have just placed a new order for 90 E-Buses valued at €61 Mio that is €680,000 / Bus which is 3x the cost of a Diesel Bus. The New Solaris Bus Urbino 12 is a Single Decker, carries 70 Passengers, 12m Long and made in Poland and appears to be a sister Co. from Daimler. A new Hydrogen Bus is in Developement - Dave 😊

Garage forecourts are closing at an alarming rate at present, seems only the Supermarkets survive. That should be interesting, and probably needs no personnel as the charging points will be by credit/debit cars only, space only required.
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.

Dave.....there has been a bit of fiddling about with green busses near me...it remains only the paint at the moment after usual failures. I know one of the drivers. Real dirty diesel is the standard to which I generally hold my breath while the largely empty rattle boxes roll by.

Meanwhile the old steam trains thunder on locally and on the nearby main line...something to see.

Was at the Nurburgring last week....noisy. Gained a hat trick over a couple of weeks:

Hi Colin, I watched Nurburgring on the Box but are impressed that you are into Fast Cars. Used to visit a lot of the old tracks in the UK but here I have only been to the old Berlin Track in the middle of Berlin called the “Avus” which closed many years ago.

Read this article today which looks like more costs if you purchase an Electric Vehicle, OK a little more ! - Dave 😋
Electric cars are £116 more expensive to insure than similar petrol and diesels :

I'm seeing them now before they become electric motors with big Bose hi-fi under the bonnet. See it done to a

1985 Maserati Bi-Turbo to Maserati Bi-Electric Motor: (not my interest...too much silicone embedded)
