Of interest...to those interested. A description of components. Here are the internals of an underfloor battery for a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Battery Pack was removed/replaced because the battery floor had been punctured while vehicle driven somewhere...great! Wonder what the cost was........... :?:

Voltages of 50v DC and 30v AC (rms) are expected to be safe and without special isolation precautions.

Batteries in series for 300v delivery to motor (10 * 30v module units)
Working Current Sensor and Contactors (Working and Failsafe system)
Ground Fault Detection (Battery isolation from car body)
Service removable Plug (Safety interlock)
Charge State Sensing/Balancing per individual cell
Self Air Conditioner (internal pack Temp upto 90C if not cooled)
