I am not sure how many members read this post in 2015 this post still exists but a lot of the data has now been lost or deleted. This is possibly of no interest to some but the options are there - Dave
Anyway the point is that I have just ordered new QR Codes from believe it or not Amazon, delivered in two days and the same price as 2015. To me these are a Safety issue as out here in Germany the ADAC (AA / RAC) have had these on there website for years and the official Safety Card Docs have to be updated by the Manufacturer which can be copied out and stuck behind the Sun Visor. There appears at present to me no differences between the J11A or J11B.
These QR Codes were developed by MB and installed on all their vehicles, but most owners are not even aware of these. The aim was a quick response from the Emergency Services who can Scan the Bar Code with an App using a mobile or Pad and can see where dangers exsist in the vehicle before any actions. I am still not sure if these are used or even available in the UK but to me for the price of €7.98 you cannot go far wrong and perhaps just highlighting this system might help some.
