This is all very nice and indeed impressive, but what about the infrastructure? Where from and where ppl will charge their e-cars? 🙂

Dan, correct and everybody knows the problem and the Infrastructure has to be planned and put in place. The main criticisms from interested parties are :
how many Kms with a normal STD Battery Charge, how often you have to re-charge, where are the Charging Stations, how long for a charge normal or fast, STD Cable Connectors, STD Cards, Stress of finding a Charging Point, the Missus etc ....
In general it would seem to be that just to complete a decent long trip a major planning operation is required - Dave 🥱🙏

OFGEM UK
Theres an upcoming attempt here in UK to fix future energy systems (they'll no doubt need to ensure their green credentials don't get mixed in with their vested interests). Simply prepare to dump your car, stick your face mask on and get on a bus, dodge the protests....my bold here and there.

The British electricity industry regulator, Ofgem, is on the verge of publishing details of the next round of spending controls for the electricity and gas industry transmission, distribution and system operation companies, which comes into effect in April next year. These controls are known under the term RIIO (Revenue = Incentives + Innovation + Outputs), which boils down to the prosaic reality of:

a) How much the regulator will allow the regulated energy industries to spend on capital investment and system operation

b) How large a return on this expenditure the regulated industries will be allowed to derive from consumer bills.

UK Electricity consumption is currently about 50% down on pre Covid. So charging cars up currently wouldn't be a major problem that it could be under pre Covid employment and related travel. Warnings are there so it really needs some reliably practical people to manage our power systems ...not green air heads with accompanying VI's!

Tesla are building a New Factory and now getting knocked on the Head for the wrong Terminology regarding “Autopilot” (Driver Alert is required) - Dave 🤨

“Tesla's claims about its Autopilot driver-assist feature are misleading, a German court has ruled. The use of the word "Autopilot”, along with other marketing material, suggested the vehicle could drive on its own, but the technology still requires the driver to remain alert at all times.”

Well here it is a picture of the proposed German Berlin Factory - Dave 😉

“Elon Musk has shared a render of Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin Brandenburg that will open in 2021 and be the automaker's first full vehicle factory in Europe. The enormous construction plant — which is being built in Grünheide, 25 miles south-east of Berlin — will be the firm's fourth such factory.”

There was a building Stop recently due to an Unpaid Water Bill. Tesla got its water supply shut off at Gigafactory Berlin because they apparently didn’t pay their bill. The result was that Tesla had to temporarily stop construction work at the site of Gigafactory Berlin.- Dave 😉

This is the Factory now another month on :
