It looks like the proposed Tesla Y SUV has already got some competition from the new Ford Mustang Mach-E GT - Dave 🙂

“The Mustang Mach-E GT Performance models will get an estimated 459 horsepower, Ford claims, from two electric motors, one powering the back wheels, the other powering the front. Those motors should be able to make the Mach-E go from zero to 60 miles an hour in roughly 3.5 seconds, a time similar to a Porsche 911 GTS. The Tesla Model 3 Performance, meanwhile, produces 450 horsepower and the upcoming Model Y SUV is expected to share much of the same engineering.”

They are getting closer to the point that knocks the driver out by G Force.

Here are the facts from the Beeb - Dave 😃
Colin, the fastest Ford E model can accelerate (BBC) from 0-60mph in under five seconds (CNN stated 3,5 secs for the Ford E-GT) and the Tesla Model X 100D can do 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds. Whatever the times are extremely fast.

Hi Colin, with ref to your comment “They are getting closer to the point that knocks the driver out by G Force.” I am assuming you are referring to speed. Take a look at this Tesla video it’s pretty recent but there are a lot around for passenger reactions. Hopefully you have not seen this - Dave 😫

Not seen it Dave. Wonder if its been recognised as a possible problem. They lift off pretty sharpish!

Looks nice but Ford quality might hold it back.

I also think tesla is holding back and there cars performance are being drip fed to the public. They cartainly have a head start.
