Mentioned on LBC (N. Ferrari @ 07:30) this morning that separation of some kind is on the books. Rumoured from circa 2018 anyway.
The motor industry is extremely competitive and Ghosn certainly got Nissan off its knees around 1999, The current judicial behaviour seems to be suicidal where Nissan could have easily solved it... and fairly quietly. Ghosn reckoned Nissan has spent $200M chasing him for what appears to be $1M in alleged offences.
