Would be nice if they went back to an independent car manufacturer ! Renault ruined the reliability status of Nissan, I was once a sales manager for Datsun, in the 1970's, Rust was they're problem back then; but they were ultra reliable; then they sorted the rust problems, and became the most reliable car on the road. Also Toyota and Subaru along with Honda. Modern alliances have spoiled the car market. JMO of-course.
