Not mentioned in the noisy/repetitive virtue signalling across UK media at present:

Meanwhile down at No 1, Horse Guards Parade amongst the crashing/defacing of statues and general disruption of life in London and elsewhere. We have a sudden lurch from the "Hydrogen Strategy Now" group to push their way to the front of the line. Another Policy to Cash Alert.... :o

Something similar in Germany? Wasserstoff

I believe there are traces of hydrogen energy being used in Scotland. A council bus in the highlands and something to do with a Civic Centre where the SNP hangout from time to time.

Well I think I missed this Post. Colin extremely Sorry this report is from the “BeeB” but they cannot get it wrong all of the time and there does seem to be many more Buses around than just in Scotland - Dave 😋

BBC News: Is the hydrogen tech 'revolution' hope or hype ? : https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-53238512

Double deckers : The same applies to buses, and the Bamford family, which owns JCB, says it has orders for 80 double-deck buses from its Wrightbus factory at Ballymena in Northern Ireland. That still leaves the issue of charging infrastructure – but that can be solved by providing hydrogen pumps on motorways for long-distance truckers.

The same network could fuel hybrid battery and hydrogen cars of the future and dispense with the need for ever-heavier batteries in plug-in cars. Buses could use hydrogen stored at depots in Kevlar-lined tanks for safety.
Past fears of hydrogen tanks exploding have been addressed by the advent of tanks lined with Kevlar and hydrogen release mechanisms in case the tank is struck.

The BBC and their Science/Technology reporters (whatever) get it wrong often Dave. And their freaking Guardian mates. I won't go into it but the titles of it are Climate and Energy generation. They lost recognisable integrity when Tomorrows World ended (1980s)....too much for the arty/farty's to stomach I guess.

A colleague of mine has just retired from JCB as a senior safety analyst (vehicles). I need a pub without barbed wire in/around it to interrogate him.

OK...from an ex JCB friend and without finding a pub: Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE)

Risk = Getting hit by a vehicle more risky than H event but no doubt there will be some of them and over reaction. Watch the insurers and get your Kevlar kit soon!

JCB not only firm messing about with H. Its all gonna happen:

Worth a read from Bloomberg - Dave 🤨

Why Europe’s ‘Green’ Hydrogen Hype Is Likely To Flop:

The H stuff is being pushed hard... but, the generation tech is nowhere near ready...unless its Nuke perhaps?

Down here in Au we're working to mix hydrogen in our natural gas, starting at around 10% and eventually up to 100%. The last Labor government in my state put out a tender a few years ago (election time) for buses and a plant. Up in Queensland they're trying to get a couple plants going for export. Seems like a good move potentially adding some growth back into the resources sector - traditionally dominated by iron and coal and heavily exposed to China.

Here's the BBC at it today. In a place they shouldn't be and attempting to cancel, de-platform or better for them (BBC) get a Malaysian Astrophysicist sacked. They want to place Doctor Willie Soon badly and broadcast it globally. He's a climate sceptic, so they are going for blood and dressing it up in a 10 part series that will not include discussion. 15 minute punch pieces I suspect. Money to do this dragged from 75+ year pensioners, single mothers etc and everybody threatened with jail.

BBC Asks Dr. Willie Soon to Respond to Climate Conspiracy Claims

The BBC has belatedly decided they need at least a little input from one of the targets of their latest big oil climate conspiracy propaganda piece. Dr. Willie Soon (Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics) does not hold back in his response.
