Looks like DaveBerlin saw the presentation live - so did I !!!
Deeply impressed by the car.
Deeply unimpressed by the launch. It was if it had been set in stone 6 months ago and they hadn't realised it wouldn't be a live audience - the presentation continued as if it was; very pedestrian. And we didn't get that much of an impression about the car.
Do I want one - yes!
Can I afford one? - no! At least at the £40k - £55k I predict it will cost... (Not even Autocar are giving a prediction)
Before posting I thought I'd Google.
The Verge is suggesting $40k upwards which will probably translate to at least £40k
Carwow says "Expect to pay from around £40,000 to £45,000 for an entry-level two-wheel-drive 63kWh car and closer to £60,000 for a top-spec Performance model."
WhatCar says "With prices likely to start at around £40,000, not including the government’s £3000 grant for electric vehicles" - presumably that means £43k+?
In fact most sites suggest £40k+/$40k+.
What I hadn't realised is that it's not on sale until "late 2021" so well over a year off still...

Oddly when we first saw the Ariya Concept, I said that looks like a production car - check out the mirrors. They were conventional not tiny concept ones or even cameras.
Ironically now we can compare the concept with the reality, I find one of the very few things changes are the mirrors! They're now even more conventional...
There's little else I can see changed apart from the fact that the lower blades of the DRLs now stop about 3/4 down rather than going right to the bottom, there's a visible tow hook cover, lateral front parking sensors, a differently shaped charging port cover and the door handle recesses have been enlarged..
Anything else?
It's amazing that the wheels haven't changed! (EDIT - see next posting!)

Likewise looking at the rear:
Well maybe the wheels ARE slightly different - but not by much!
Again you can more readily see the door handle recess change.
Here though things have changed a bit more - the proportions of the lights against the rear wings shows they've narrower a little. There's more bumper between the wheel arch and the vertical crease. And the tailgate has widened quite a bit.
Low red reflectors have appeared as have parking sensors.
