That aurora green is ridiculously good looking, too bad it’s not available for QQ, but hey there is always that gun metal
Good they got rid of that second shark fin antenna, it looked stupid:)

There’s a similar green in the X-Trail palette, nearly tempted me to switch to that model.

“How would you go about creating an entirely new colour? It's almost impossible to imagine, isn't it? Yet that was essentially the brief for the designers working on the aesthetics of the new all-electric Nissan Ariya – resulting in the creation of two exclusive hues never seen before on Nissan's lineup. The "powerful element" of Ariya that stands out the most is its electrified powertrain. This theme was the biggest discussion point behind our colours. We realised they needed to convey the power and quietness that electric vehicles represent" - Dave

So is this a true colour flip paint or just marketing hype do you think?

The price - assuming they could get it under £50k, has just gone up £3000 owing to the change in UK governmental grants now only applicable under £35k ruling out a lot of cars!
The argument being if you can afford nearly £50k for a car then you can afford not to have the grant!
I'm waiting for the Dacia Spring Electric!

Gloucester, with ref to your comment “So is this a true colour flip paint or just marketing hype do you think?” - Dave
When you mentioned “Flip” Painting I must admit I wondered what you were talking about. I know the paint process is one that changes color but by other descriptions such as color changing paint Ref the name “Chameleon”. This process is a rather new product on the market, so many people haven’t heard of it while fewer have seen what it looks like. I have attached a couple of attachments for any member interested or never heard this name or technology.
Now regarding whether Nissan are using this Technique is questionable regarding cost but they do appear to have something up their sleeves, let’s hope it does take off just for the sake of the “Aurora Green” members. There might well be newer mass production technologies to use this technique - let’s hope so.
It does mention that : “Lesley notes the importance of technology and painting techniques to ensure the new colours came to life in their full, vivid glory. "The addition of a slightly larger metallic flake with the Akatsuki Copper enhances the cleanliness of the colour, making it more striking in appearance". What's more, new and sustainable technological innovations in the paint production line reduce CO2 output by 25 percent, supporting Nissan's drive towards carbon neutrality.”

Gloucester, with reference to your other comment “I'm waiting for the Dacia Spring Electric!” - Dave
I have read that you can already place orders for this out here. Now as the Dacia Co. was sold by the Romanian government in 1999 to the French car manufacturer Groupe Renault I would assume that a lot of the parts or technology being used has been or are partly developed by the Alliance. As Renault are pushing E-Cars now, possibly this technology is being used in the cheaper optioned Dacia Cars.
This Dacia “Spring Electric” looks very similiar in size to your Suzuki Ignis. For me I would be looking for again something like a QQ purely for convenience of size, vision, stepping into, safety, space etc. but this as always is a personal decision. Dacia Cars have always had this “Cheapness” Tone about them and lack of Safety Items, luxuries, extras etc. but things might well now have improved, could be an interesting buy.
These are purely for comparison or overview, not down to the last cm : For information Dacia Spring Electric Concept : https://press.dacia.co.uk/en-gb/releases/264
